I believe you have to have your interest towards coding because that's the only reason you're pursuing your BCA. Without the interest and willingness to code, the BCA degree wouldn't help you that much in your career. The qualities that a candidate can have is to be already aware of programming languages and their logics. If you've already studied programming in your 10+2 then you wouldn't face much difficulties in BCA. It'll be beneficial for you as you'll stay ahead of the competition and will also be able to score good percentage in your early semesters. If you want to learn programming languages which you will be studying in your B

Yes, if you want to get admission into top universities and colleges for BCA then you definitely should study mathematics in your 10+2. As the eligibility criteria for these universities requires maths as a mandatory subject to be eligible for the admission. Also, you'll be studying maths in BCA too, which is reliant on the maths taught in 10+2, so it'll be beneficial for you to study maths already in school and build your base stronger. So, you don't have to work harder later in college. Even if you did pick maths as a subject, then also you're eligible for admission into BCA but not in top universities.

The proper way to learn anything is to get comfortable with it. Practice it a ton of times, spend as much time as possible, become obsessed with it. The same formula applies for programming too. Practice it, spend time in gaining knowledge about concepts from different books, websites, videos, courses. Attend your college lectures and pay proper attention. Understand and ask what's the use or meaning of every single character or word used with-in the programme. Don't just rely on your faculty members, research on your own too. And one more time, practice. If you want to learn programming languages which you will be studying in your BCA

Yes, you can get admission into BCA even if you didn't had computer Science in +2. But to be eligible for admission into top colleges for BCA you must have mathematics as a mandatory subject in +2. But getting admission into top tier colleges is competitive, and you must score at least 60% to 70% in +2 to be eligible for entrance exam and then personal interview. Without maths you can still pursue BCA but from 2nd tier colleges, which are generally a little costlier than the top tier. But the thing about 2nd tier colleges is that you can get admission very easily without taking any entrance exam and just by scoring passing marks in +2.
