Admission to the undergraduate programme is based on a Computer-Based Entrance Test (B-UMAT) conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth. Candidates who make it to the merit list and have a good score become eligible for seat allotment. However, seat allotment depends upon various factors such as merit rank, the category to which the candidate belongs, and seat availability.

The BVP CET is a computer-based test (CBT). The duration of the test is 3 hours. The questions asked in the paper are multiple-choice type questions. In addition, the exam is of a total of 200 marks. One mark is awarded for a correct response and no marks are deducted for wrong responses.
