Biotechnology is a field of applied biology that involves the use of living organisms and bioprocesses in engineering, technology, medicine and other fields requiring bio products. For a career in biotechnology one must have both biology and mathematics, so it will be better if you opt for science with biology in class 11, for making a career.

Biotechnology is emerging field and every year gaining double-digit growth rate. But it does not give immediate results, unlike IT, and management fields. This subject is definitely for those who love knowing the nature, biology and working of the complex system.

No, biotechnology is not similar to B.Sc Agriculture as in biotechnology you will learn about living systems and organisms to develop or make products, or "any technological application that uses biological systems, living organisms, or derivatives thereof, to make or modify products.

VITEEE is an engineering entrance exam which is for only engineering courses. For integrated M.Sc in Biotechnology course, there is no entrance exam and the admission is based on board exam marks.

There is only one college that offers biotechnology programme in GGSIPU, and it is the main University itself. B.Tech Biotech is offered only by School of Biotechnology, located in main campus of Dwarka. No other affiliated college offers the course, I presume.
