The candidate should have passed their 10+2 examination or equivalent from any recognised board. They should get at least 50 percent aggregate marks in the qualifying exam. Admission is done primarily through the marks secured in 12th. However, if the candidates are short-listed, they are sometimes required to undergo Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

It is necessary that all the integrated BSc + MSc aspirants fulfil the course-specific eligibility requirements. The applications of only the eligible students is considered valid. Students who are Class 12 or equivalent examination pass from a recognised board with a minimum of 60% aggregate are eligible to apply for the integrated programme. BIT Mesra MBA Eligibility CriteriaCandidates with at least 50% of marks either in the Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a recognised university. Candidates who have appeared in CAT/ XAT/ CMAT and have valid percentile/scores may apply for the program.

For BIT Mesra PhD admission, candidates must have passed a Master's degree in a relevant branch from a recognised University/ Institute with a minimum of 60% aggregate. 

For admission to BIT Mesra MSc Geoinformatics course, aspirants shall hold a valid BSc degree or equivalent in the relevant specialisation. Candidate should have passed the degree course from a recognised university. Moreover, the qualifying exam should have been passed with at least 55% aggregate (50% for SC/ST category candidates). It is also necessary that the candidate has all the educational documents (original and copies) for verification purposes.

The eligibility criteria is the minimum qualification that the course aspirant must have to be eligible for the course. Thus, aspirants with a valid BSc or equivalent degree in relevant field with a minimum of 55% aggregate (50% for SC/ST) are eligible. The qualifying exam should have been passed from a recognised university.
