The eligibility criteria for the BTech courses may differ from college to college. However, the basic eligibility criteria for BTech admission to top BTech colleges in Karnataka are as follows. The candidates:
- Must have passed Class 12 with a minimum 60% aggregate from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects (the pass percentage may vary in different colleges)
- For admissions, candidates must take standard entrance exams like KCET, COMEDK UGET, JEE Main, etc., and other university-specific entrance exams in addition to their Class 12 results.

In order to get admission to BTech at SAM Global University, students need to fulfil minimum eligibility criteria, i.e., to pass Class 12 with 45% to 60% aggregate. The university offers BTech courses in various specialisations such as Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering etc. Students who do not meet the above-mentioned educational qualification are not eligible for BTech admission at SAM Global University.

Eligibility criteria for B.Tech at Dhole Patil College of Engineering:
A candidate should have passed 12th with minimum 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for reserved category).
Admission at the institute is entrance-based. Scores of qualifying exams like JEE Mains and MHT CET are considered for the final selection of the student at the institute.

Ranchi university offers B.Tech in many branches like computer science, civil engineering, mechanical, metallurgical and few more. The eligility criteria to take admission in B.Tech course: The minimum required percentage is 60% with intermediate in physics, chemistry, and mathematics. The University also accepts Entrance exam scores JEE main and JCECE.

APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University conducts BTech admissions through JEE Main followed by UPTAC counselling. Applicants should have passed his or her 10+2 level exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from any recognised board with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks. To be eligible for admission to B.Tech at the Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ), you must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or any other subject with a minimum of 45% marks for the General Category. For SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/ PWD, the minimum is 40%. All reserved category students have a 5% relaxation in minimum aggregate.

B.Tech. in CSE with Specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at RNBGU is a 4 years course at the UG level. The total tuition fee for RNBGU B.Tech. in CSE with Specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is INR 3.40 Lakh. Candidate must have passed 10+2 with PCM from a recognised board with atleast 50% to be eligible to take admission. Apart from it, JEE Mains and CUET scores are also accepted to admission to the course.
