Yes. XAT has negative marking. Candidates lose 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer. A penalty also applies to unattempted questions beyond the first eight.

Failing the first semester of a Digital Marketing course is not the end of the road. It usually means some topics or skills need more practice. The important thing is to understand where the marks were lost and work on those areas before the next exams. Courses at LPU also focus on practical learning and industry oriented skills, so using projects and practical tasks to strengthen weak areas can help. One semester result does not decide the whole career. Consistent improvement and better performance in the following semesters matter more.

After completing BBA, salary mainly depends on the job role, skills and practical experience rather than the degree alone. As per the latest placement information from LPU's School of Business, the highest salary package is INR49.4 lakh, while the average package for the top 10% is INR13.60 lakh. Yes, GIBS gets a good number of companies for placements and internships. In my batch, almost 200+ companies came in for different opportunities. There was a decent variety of companies and roles, so we had multiple options to apply for.
The placement team also kept guiding us throughout the process, and each student had placement mentoring. For me, having that many companies coming in definitely made the placement process more active and gave us more chances. GIBS also officially mentions dedicated placement mentoring for students. Overall it's one of the best colleges in terms of placements and ROI.

From my experience at GIBS, practical learning was a regular part of college, not something we did only at the end of the semester.
We worked on live projects, case studies and team assignments.
IRE activities gave us chances to take an idea and actually work on it.
Industry visits helped us see how things work outside the classroom.
We had sessions with industry professionals and subject matter experts.
Presentations, role-plays and group discussions were also part of regular learning.
A lot of times, we had to explain or present what we had learned, which made us understand the topic better.
So for me, GIBS was more about learning something

LPU can be considered for an MBA as it combines management fundamentals with practical learning projects and industry exposure. The programme covers areas such as business strategy communication and management.
Students can choose specialisations based on their interests and career goals. Before applying it's useful to compare LPU's fees curriculum specialisations and career opportunities with other universities.

I can speak from my own experience at GIBS Bangalore. For me, the difference was that college life was not just about classes, exams and assignments.
We had IRE activities where we could work on our own ideas and actually put some thought into them.
CPMP helped me a lot with communication, confidence and getting comfortable with interviews.
We had industry people coming in for talks and sessions, which gave us a chance to hear things from people working in the field.
Events and other college activities kept us involved and gave us plenty of chances to interact with people.
