The major difference between the syllabus of a general MBA course and an MBA course with specialisation at MIT College of Management is that the general course covers all core areas of Master's in business administration (Marketing, HR, Finance, etc.) without focusing deeply on one. On the contrary, an MBA course with specialisation offers subjects related to specific domains like Marketing, Agri-Business, Event Management, etc.

The eligibility criteria depends upon the type of program, institution and country but the general criteria is as follows:
- A bachelor's degree from a recognised college or university and requires minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved categories in india)
- You need to qualify an entrance exams depends upon the programme like CAT (in india), GMAT (global), GRE (highly accepted for MBA globally) and other specific exams according to university or college.
- Minimum 2-5 years of work experience is needed if you are pursuing an executive or some international MBA ad it is not mandatory for all types of MBA programs.
