Admission in Calcutta Institute of Technology (CIT) into B.E./ B.Tech is *moderately tough*. It needs good marks in *WBJEE* or *JEE Main*. In case of CSE (General, All India), ranks are closed usually around 58,000-110,000 in WBJEE but it may be higher (e.g. around 163,000 to 1.2 million), depending on the round/source in JEE Main. The other branches are usually not that competitive. To be qualified to attend 10+2 and to attend at the centralized WBJEE counselling is vital.
