- NIT Sikkim, NIT Arunachal Pradesh, NIT Meghalaya (check cutoffs)

- Lovely Professional University, Uttaranchal University, and other private colleges.

The faculty of Calcutta Institute of Technology is *good and experienced* in general, and most of them possess either M.Tech/Ph.D. Students admire their knowledge in the field, competent teaching, and friendly, responsible attitude, as they are focused on practical aspects and personnel development in general. Although there are some divergences here and there it is stated, the faculty is overall regarded as an extremely powerful advantage that can offer a great education and guidance.

Most of them possess either M.Tech or Ph.D. in their degrees and thus are well academically qualified and knowledgeable in the field. In order to get admission in Calcutta Institute of Technology (B.E./ B.Tech) one should have passed 10+2 with PCM (a minimum of 45% marks). It is through *WBJEE* or *JEE Main* that admission is given. The main procedure is engaging in the area of the *centralized WBJEE Counselling* based on the wbjeeb.nic.in. This also entails the internet registration, the counselling fee, proper filling and locking of college/branch choices (including CIT), followed by attending the seat allotment, document verification and final payment of fee at the institute.

Calcutta Institute of Technology (CIT) offered different branch-based cutoffs along with category based cutoffs, in the case of WBJEE 2024. In * General All India (Round 1), B.Tech CSE was closed at 58,715*. Branches such as Mechanical, Electrical, ECE, Chemical and Civil Engineering had closings as high as *110,682*. The level of cutoff in reserved category and TFW (Tuition Fee Waiver) schemes were way different. The best and official website to get information about WBJEEB counselling is the one mentioned on the official site of WBJEEB.
