The University of California, San Francisco does not release data about acceptance rate. However, as per some unofficial sources, University of California-San Francisco, has an acceptance rate of 18%, which means out of every 100 applications, only 18 are selected, which makes is very competitive to get selected into the university.

The university gives preference to students having higher grades or have exceptional academic or research experience. Hence, having higher grades increases your chance of getting selected at University of California San Francisco.

According to a student from San Jose State University here are some reasons :

  • The coursework is designed in par with the current trend. The university has  professors who are working in IBM, Startups and they teach subjects in areas of Big Data, Machine Learning and Information Security
  • The weather is pretty awesome neither too cold nor too hot.
  • The fees is comparatively cheaper than other state universities
  • As its located in heart of Silicon Valley you have very good opportunities. Almost all of the students landed good internships/full time jobs

According to the QS World rankings 2024, University of California Berkeley has a ranking of #10 and University of Washington has a ranking of #63. Some of the other rankings of both the universities are given as follows:

Yes, California State University Fullerton allows students to work while studying in the university and they're allowed to work no more than 20 hours per week. Students must keep in mind that the amount they earn cannot exceed their total Federal Work-Study award authorization. Additionally, when assigning work hours, an employer or financial aid administrator consider class schedule as well as the academic progress of the candidate.

Based on the ratio of admissions to applications,  California State University Fullerton acceptance rate stands at 67%. Since, the stats are on the higher end, we can conclude that Cal State Fullerton is a not a very competitive university to get in, as it admits more than half of the applicants. Once an applicant fulfills California State University Fullerton admission requirements, ie; academic qualifications, competitive grades, English language requirements as well as relevant documents, they are most likely to secure an admission in the university.
