Yes, Canadian universities generally accept gap years. If they are justified properly. You must provide a valid reason for the gap in your Statement of Purpose (SOP).

  • Acceptable reasons include working, internships, preparing for entrance exams, learning new skills, or medical reasons.
  • Providing evidence. Work experience letters or certificates strengthen your application.

Yes, Indian students can apply for all three intakes. But Fall (September) is the primary intake with the most course options and scholarship availability.

  • Winter (January): Good alternative if you miss Fall, but fewer courses are available.
  • Summer (May): Very limited courses; mostly for Diploma or certificate programs, less common for full degrees.

Yes, students can change their course or prorgam ast the Memorial University of Newfoundland Canada. To do that students have to submit an Course Change form online to the university. The form would take the basic information of the student like email address, phone number, student ID, etc.

The form can be submitted by the Memorial email account to the registrar's mail account.
