The required documents during the B.E. / B.Tech application process at Cape Institute of Technology include:-
1. Class 10 & 12 Marksheets
2. Allotment letter for TNEA Counseling.
3. Proof of Identity:- A government-issued ID as an Aadhar card, voter ID, or passport.
4. Caste Certificate (if applicable): A Valid caste certificate application for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) has to be provided.
5. Domicile Certificate.
6. Passport size Pictures:- Generally, 2-4 recent passport-sized images are needed to fulfill the application form.

Cape Institute of Technology offers only BTech and MTech courses. Admission to each course is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam. To be eligible for admission to the BE/BTech course at Cape Institute of Technology the candidate has to score a minimum of 45% aggregate in class 12 in a relevant stream from any recognised board. Eligible students will have to appear for the TNEA counseling and secure valid rank to be eligible for the course.

This include the First Graduate Scholarship of Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000 annually for students who are the first graduates in their families. Scholarships are also provided for BC, BCM, MBC, DNC, SC, ST, and Minority categories based on income, with amounts differing as per government regulations. Other scholarships are the Beedi Scholarship and Central Sector Scheme, providing amounts such as Rs. 6,000 and Rs. 10,000 per year. In addition, merit-based waivers of tuition and transport fees are also provided for students with high engineering entrance cutoffs.
