Shifting the career from commerce to arts is not a sign of issue but that sign of interest and that show you are on the track to choose the field based on your calibre and not going to follow the trend.
And you can start from the first year there is no issue as such because you going to obtain knowledge.
So here are the few options you can check and opt accordingly.
1. Law.
2. Psychology/ Sociology / Philosophy
3. Journalism.
4. Travel and tourism.
5. Animation.
6. English (Hons).
7. Foreign language.
8. Hotel management.
9. Social work.
10. Political Science or history (Hons).
11. Physical education.
12. Special Education

After completing class 12th, you need to appear for various entrance examinations. I would suggest you to appear for IIT JEE Mains and Advanced. These two entrance examinations provide admissions to IITs/ NITs and other government colleges, which are cost-effective.
I would also suggest you to appear for individual state examinations (OJEE in Odisha, EAMCET in Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana, COMEDK in Karnataka, etc.). These exams also guarantee you good colleges and serve as a backup in case things don't end up the way you've planned for IIT-JEE
Every state has its own share of good engineering colleges. So, don't underestimate

1. CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT/NMAT /SNAP competition exam for MBA in finance, international business, insurance or marketing.
2. Actuarial science
