I think both have different importance, but MBA is a professional degree and it holds significant importance.

Yes, you can pursue BCA & MCA but once you get into this field you'll be an IT student only. This would be a good combination for your future.
And everything lies in the interest. if you have a keen interest in BCA & MCA then you can surely do better.

In order to achieve your goal, you will have to score very well in JEE Mains and Advanced exam and then take admission in IIT. There is a great chance that you can achieve your goal.

Mechanical engineering graduates on completion of B.Tech can undergo 1 year duration Graduate Marine Engineering (GME) course to enter into merchant navy as Marine engineer. This course is offered by lot of institutes approved by the Directorate General of Shipping.
