Hi Nishant, certifications and courses like Project Management, Six Sigma, SAP etc will help. You need to first decide about your career, which field do you wan to work in and where do you want to work rather than obtaining hundreds of degrees. If you are clear about your future plans you may then select what additional courses or certifications will help you. You can go abroad to work , I will suggest you gain a few years work experience in India before you apply for a job outside as it is very competitive.

If you are not interested in technical courses like engineering there are other options available for you. You can go for courses which are non-traditional and quiet popular these days like Fashion Designing, Interior designing, Mass Comm or journalism. These courses are in good demand and can help you in building a good career. However for these courses you need to choose some good colleges which emphasizes on practical exposure. There is nothing like which course is better for average students. It solely depends on your field of interest that which one you can do. There are several options in engineering otherwise you can go for courses like Mass Communication, Journalism, Fashion, Interior Designing. These courses doesn't require brilliant students but utilizes inner potential of the student.

To become a software engineer you may opt for courses such as :
• Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science / Information Technology
• Bachelor of Science (hons.) in Software Engineering
• Master of Computer Applications
