Usually candidates do not need to draw by hand. Thus, it is not mandatory to be good at drawing but a Graphic Designer need to use art/graphics to enhance as well as promote a product, enterprise etc. Although not necessarily required, drawing abilities might be useful for a graphic/web designer. Instead of using traditional drawing methods, graphic/web design software is used to create digital artwork and visual concepts.
Drawing abilities, however, can undoubtedly improve a designer's capacity for ideation, visual concept communication, and unique illustration or graphic creation.
