Sales is only part of Marketing. Marketing involves all aspects from a desire creation to satisfaction survey for new product R&D, so it is a ocean.
Unless you know and interact with the user/ consumer what creativity is going to be originate in you.
Marketing is a creative job and involved utmost dedication and sociability. without soiling your hands you can't be in marketing.

Well you haven't mentioned whether you were doing diploma or degree in engineering.
If Diploma them I would request you to complete your diploma and then enroll directly in II year of BCA
If Degree then if possible try to complete it . If not possible then don't think about things which are out of your hand.
go for BCA, whether MNC will consider your gap or not , that should not end your career and further study. There is no end of study
