As this time the institution has increased the number of seats to 120, you have a chance to get admission. But, it does not depend completely upon the marks scored. So, prepare well. All the best

IIM A currently is the most sought after institute. To prepare for CAT, I would suggest you to first take a mock test to see your level and then go for coaching. It is required to practice the nuances of tricky questions which are to be solved in the given time.

Both of them are very different exams. CAT is primarily for MBA colleges in India, while GMAT is primarily for applying to MBA colleges abroad.

If you give CAT you come under OMS seats which constitute of only 18 seats.You would require 99.99%ile as for these 18 seats other exams like cmat,atma and mat are also considered.
