Hello Dheeraj,
Your grades in school or college don't decide whether you will crack CAT for IIMS or not. You must start preparing for CAT the most popular exam for MBA if you want to get in any IIM. The ideal time to prepare is your 2nd year of Graduation. Make your basics strong, take coaching for CAT and forget your grades used to be low. Anyone can give CAT from any field or degree. After you crack CAT with good scores, you have to give Interview which will decide your branch of IIM. All the best.

You need to dedicate good 6-7 hours per day to learn and understand the concepts. Once you are done with concepts, start giving mock tests. Give as many mock tests as you can so that you know what's your preparation level and how much more you need to prepare. Most of all, dedication and commitment towards studies are required.

Hi Nikita, Students new to paper pattern can take up to a year or more, but the ones with a bit background or knowledge can grasp the concept overall in 6 to 8 months. There are students who study from years and still can't make to Iims and even the fresher crack the admission process with less training. You need passion and determination.

Yes.
Your CAT percentile doesnt always have to be the limiting factor in finding a good B-school. I found one and so are so many others who arent willing to give up despite the unlucky performance on CAT day.
I have applied to Sri Balaji Societys BIMM and other colleges which offer two year PGDM programme. in multiple specializations. they have 4 B-schools and 13 courses each of which is as good as the other(as per inputs from friends and alumni). I have applied to other B-schools too and look forward to get admission in at least one of these but what attracts me towards Sri Balaji Society is their placement. Almost all students get plac

Hi there!
These are some of the MBA Schools in India which take people without CAT but they do have an entrance exam of their own. XLRI
NMIMS
SIBM
IIFT
TISS
There are few others in the top league that take students based on their GMAT for eg, ISB Hyderabad.

CAT score is too low. Try with CMAT 87 Percentile is adequate enough along with good performance in GD/PI to get admission there.

Since your percentage all over is very good and you belong to SC category even if you score 95 percentile, that can provide you with some calls of IIMs. For FMS, you need to get a min. of 98 percentile. There is still an extra edge that you have due to the category over other students. All the best!
