This would depend on your interest areas and career aspirations. In case you intend to pursue a career in Technical / research / academics area then MCA/ M.Sc. ( IT) is better, However if you want to move into general management the MBA is better.

Well, the criteria is any graduate with 50% marks in their graduation. Your subject is English. So, it will definitely help you for preparation and during the course also as it is completely a English language course. So, go ahead, prepare and crack the CAT exam.

IIFT is a very college, not just in Kolkata but also in India, which does not accept CAT score; it accepts the score of the IIFT test. http://tedu.iift.ac.in/iift/finalplacements.php Kindly visit this link for details about its stellar placements. You can even consider IMI as a backup; it accepts XAT score.
