Yes, you are eligible to apply for a B.Tech course after completing class 12th from NIOS. The B.Tech admissions 2018 in all the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs) and other State Engineering Colleges and Private Colleges will be done on the basis of JEE Mains score. The exam was introduced in the year of 2013 under the One-Nation-One-Test norm of HRD Ministry. The admissions in Engineering or the B.Tech course is done on the basis of candidates score in the JEE Mains exam which is conducted at All India Level. Basic eligibility to become a faculty member at an IIT is mentioned below:
Professor: A minimum of 10 years teaching/research/professional experience of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor in an academic institution or equivalent position in a research organisation or industry as on the date of application. The candidate should have demonstrated leadership in research in a specific area of specialisation in terms of guidance of Ph.D. . students, a strong record of publications in journals of high impact factor, patents, laboratory/course development and/or other recognised relevant professional activities. Associate Professor: A minimum of 6 years teaching/research/professional experience of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor in an academic institution or equivalent position in a research organisation or industry as on the date of application. The candidate should have demonstrated adequate experience of independent research in terms of guidance of M.Tech and Ph.D. . students, a strong record of publications in journals of high impact factor, patents, laboratory/course development and
/or other recognised relevant professional activities.
