Yes, there is.
The official notification for JEE exam has been announced on 20th Nov.2018. And many candidates were not happy because of the eligibility criteria for JEE Mains. To get the complete details visit:
https://scoop.eduncle.com/jee-mains-eligibility-criteria
According to this, students who have scored at least 75% marks in the 12th class boards or are in the top 20 percentile in the 12th board, are only eligible for even appearing in the JEE Mains examination.
Hope this will help.
All the best.

Hi,
You have to be an academically strong student, more than 75% in class 12th is required by most universities. Application requirements and procedures may vary with universities however in general you must take the IELTS and also submit a portfolio of your creative work. Many universities like University of Waterloo will also conduct interviews before the final selection. You are advised to go through university websites and read more about the processes. Prepare accordingly.

Hello Dakshayini,
The application procedure is online. You will find details on a college website. Each college has its admission deadline, ensure you submit your application by this deadline. You must prepare for and take the IELTS for the English language requirements. Submission of academic transcripts, personal statement, recommendation letters, application fee etc are also required. Visit any college website to get a better gist of it.
