If you have interest in physics, then you must do B.Sc in it and then M.Sc in Physics. Further, you can go for doctorate as well.

You have not mentioned as to whether you have taken admission after 10th or 12th? But yes, you can abandon Diploma and resume studies elsewhere.

You should do your 12th first. Nowadays, Diploma do not have any significance. You should prepare for JEE and other engineering entrance exams and get admission in a reputed college.
