Scholarships in MIT are need-based that is offered basis your financial background. Quite obviously you will be considered for a scholarship once you have been shortlisted and you will need an extraordinary profile to be considered. IIT JEE Advanced is not even required. You must take the SAT and SAT subject tests and the TOEFL. Apart from a very high academic percentile in 12th you must have an all-rounder profile and must have good scores in the SAT and TOEFL.

Basically you have to appear for an admission test called CLAT (Common Law Admission Test), which takes place in first half of May every year. It is a test which test you on varied parameters, which are English, Verbal and nonverbal reasoning, basic quantitative aptitude, General knowledge and General awareness, and lastly Legal Aptitude. Various National Law Universities are allotted to you on merit obtained in CLAT. Presently there are about 18-20 NLUs with a total of more or less 2000 seats approximately.
