Hi Supratim, you have to choose your stream basis your areas of interests and aptitude. There would be areas where you excel and areas where you don't. Identify those. Take a psychometric test to help you out.

Yes, you can appear for compartment exams. For that, you will have to pay an extra fee and fill the compartment form.

Your query is incomplete. You did not mention anything about your education background, scores, stream etc. You are advised to check the cut-off lists of colleges and check their websites for minimum eligibility criteria and proceed accordingly.
