You need to appear for the engineering entrance exams, especially JEE Mains. You can opt for the branch, which interest you more.

Your CAT score is of far more important than your previous academics. Generally, a fresher need to have 92-95 percentile and it will be relaxed if you have work experience.

Hello Abdul,
You must score 75% or more to appear for JEE Mains. Many states and private institutes admit students based on AIR. In these institutions, you can get admission based on AIR. But, on the other hand there are many states and private institutes which conduct their own entrance test.
To get admission into any of these, you will have to appear for each and every test. Unfortunately, nothing is on horizon like NEET is for medical, on engineering side. We all have to put pressure on government to have a single all India test for admission to any of engineering colleges in India.
