If a student is not good at Physics, it will be difficult for him to clear competitive engineering entrance exams. Physics is a mandatory subject in B.Tech syllabus. Such students can opt for B.Sc mathematics, statistics, chemistry, computer science or IT.
Students have other choices such as BCA, BBA, 5 years integrated LLB, Hotel management, Fashion designing, etc. Student can also change career to commerce stream, humanities or fine arts after class 12th.
Student must choose subject of his choice to excel in life. Please do not push your child in field of your choice. You may evaluate his or her competencies and interests and guide him

If you are interested in science, then B.E/B.Tech is a good option. If you have studied in commerce stream, then B.Com is a good option. Arts is also a good option, if you are trying to pursue it from good university like DU.
