Yes, they do. There are lot of parameters on which you are judged by the selection committee. However i cannot tell you the exact weight age of these parameters.

If you have got any compart . you need to pass your plus 2 exams without any cross in any subject. so I think that you should not take admission in any college yet. Firstly gear yourself to study twelve class basics thoroughly and after one year fill the form of college of law and exam of law such as clat, lsat , ailet, dullb to prepare for law you can get enrolled yourself in best coaching near your home and try to study as more as you can . Best of luck .

you need to study your 12 th class subjects right now . don't get panic that I have to study for IIT JEE, nata , aieee, BITSAT, VITEEE . you need to analyse yourself strength and weakness if you can able to study engineering subjects well then do it if not then labour hard.

After class 12th, you should do BCA. As today era is era of technology so BCA graduates are in great demand in the market. Now a days, computer is used in every field so there is big demand of computer specialists in the market. You will get a very good job after BCA.
If you do B.Sc non medical, then you have to do Masters degree for a good job.
So doing BCA will be more beneficial than that of B.Sc.

For B.Tech admissions, the minimum eligibilty criteria is Pass in 10+2 examination with at least 60% marks in aggregate in 5 subjects and eligibility shall be determined on the basis of percentage of aggregate marks in :i. English, Physics Mathematics.
and
ii. One subject out of Chemistry, Computer Science, Biology or Biotechnology
and
iii. One subject with the highest score out of the remaining subjects.
However, for girl candidate, a relaxation of 5% is given in the minimum eligibility criteria.

Hi,
For a Diploma course it can be 60% and degree course, it will be higher. If your percentage is 80% and above, you will have better chances of good universities. For IELTS 6.5 is good enough. Start shortlisting universities as per the course and check their specific requirements as well.
