Yes, the Olympiad syllabus covers topics common to major education boards like CBSE, ICSE, and state boards. The questions are designed in a way that students from any board can understand and solve them. The aim is to test basic concepts, reasoning, and application of knowledge. The level of questions matches what students are already studying. So, extra coaching is usually not needed.

The questions asked in CBSE 10th, 12th board exams are taken from NCERT textbooks. The questions are based on concepts and exercises included in these books or may be slightly modified versions of them. Further, questions from previous years' ques papers and, in some cases, the NCERT Exemplar problems for Science and Mathematics are also included.

The CBSE primarily follows the NCERT textbooks for all classes. While schools can use supplementary materials and reference books, NCERT books are the core of CBSE syllabus to ensure a uniform standard across all affiliated schools.

CBSE 12th grade is not strictly required for admission to Chaitanya Engineering College (CEC), Visakhapatnam, for B.E./B.Tech programs. Candidates must earn 50% of the possible points (40 percent for restricted categories) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in their 10+2 exam from any recognised board (state, ICSE or equivalent). 70% of seats are available through counselling only if the candidate has a valid Andhra Pradesh EAMCET rank. Direct admission is feasible for management quota (30% seats) with 60% in 10+2, excluding CBSE specifically pending interview and document verification.
