The formula to determine CEED shortlisting criteria is as follows:

µ + (σ 2) = δ, where µ and σ are the average marks and standard deviation of the distribution of marks obtained by all the candidates in Part-A of CEED 2025. The µ and σ will be rounded off after the first decimal place. The candidates belonging to the reserved categories shall have to fulfill a relaxed cut-off mark, which will be:

0.9 for OBC-NCL

0.9 for EWS

0.5 for SC/ST

0.5 for PwD

Note that only such candidates who meet the qualifying cut-off would get shortlisted and their answer booklets will be evaluated.

The participating institute of CEED 2025 will consider the following points for determining the admission cut-off:

  • The number of candidates appearing in CEED 2025

  • The performance of candidates in the exam

  • The merit ranks of applicants seeking admission to the college

  • Total seat intake

  • Category under which admission is sought

  • Previous years’ cutoff trends

Note that the above factors are variables; so, if any of these factors change, the cut-off would also change.

The scorecard for CEED 2025 is meant only for admission to the M.Des program offered by participating and result-sharing institutes. It cannot be used as a proof of birth. Further, the scorecard will also not be a legal document that can be used as a category or disability certificate.

Also, note that the scorecard of CEED 2025 will be valid only for a period of one year. So, if the candidate doesn’t take admission within that one-year period, the CEED 2025 scorecard will no longer be valid for admission purposes.

The result-sharing institutes of CEED 2025 will allocate some of their M.Des seats for CEED 2025 qualified candidates. However, these institutes may also use scores of other entrance exam for admission purposes.

So, if you have qualified CEED 2025, you can apply to these institutes. Note that there will be no joint counseling for the result-sharing institutes. So, you need to apply directly to the institute you are seeking admission to.
