CG TET

The CG TET exam has two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Have a look at the difference between CG TET Paper 1 and CG TET Paper 2 below

• CG TET Paper 1 is for candidates who want to teach Classes 1 to 5 in Chhattisgarh schools. The CG TET Paper 2 is for candidates who want to teach Classes 6 to 8. Candidates who want to teach Classes 1 to 8 need to appear for both papers.
• The CG TET syllabus and exam pattern for Paper 1 and Paper 2 are different in terms of subjects, topics and question and marks distribution.
• The CG TET Paper 1 questions will be based on 6 to 11 age group of children and Paper 2 will be based on 11 to 14 age group of children.
• The difficulty level of CG TET question paper for Paper 1 will be up to Class 12. However, the difficulty level of CG TET question paper 2 will be up to graduation level.

CG TET Paper 2 comprises 4 sections. Have a look at the details of these sections below:

• Child Development and Pedagogy: This section tests the candidates' understanding individual differences of children, deciding appropriate teaching-learning process, role of teacher, modern techniques and others.
• Language 1 (Hindi): This section tests the candidates' language skills in the Hindi language. Candidates should know the basics of language which is the medium of instructions.
• Language 2 (English): The section tests the candidates' language skills in English language, their understanding and communication skills.
• Maths & Science: This section tests problems and understanding of subject-specific pedagogy. Questions from this section will test candidates' learning and understanding of concepts and classroom situations.

• Social Studies: This section tests problems and understanding of subject-specific pedagogy. This section tests the candidates' knowledge of the surroundings, understanding of current issues and their applicability.

CG TET Paper 1 comprises 5 sections. Have a look at the details of these sections below:

• Child Development and Pedagogy: This section tests the candidates' understanding of the concepts and principles of child development and the process of learning.
• Language 1 (Hindi): This section tests the candidates' language skills in the Hindi language. Candidates should know the basics of language which is the medium of instructions.
• Language 2 (English): The section tests the candidates' language skills in English language, their understanding and communication skills.
• Mathematics: This section tests the candidates' learning and understanding of concepts and classroom situations.
• Environmental Studies: This section tests the candidates' knowledge of the surroundings, understanding of current issues and their applicability.

Each section contains 30 questions and each question is of 1 marks.

The CG TET exam consists of a total of 150 questions. In the CG TET exam, objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) are asked in both Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates need to attempt the questions in the total duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. Have a look at the CG TET questions details in both papers below:

• CG TET Paper 1: A total of 150 MCQs are asked in Paper 1 with 30 questions in each section- Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. 
• CG TET Paper 2: A total of 150 MCQs are asked in Paper 2 with 30 questions from 3 sections- Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1 and Language 2, and 60 questions from Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Science.
