CG TET 2025-2026: Notification (OUT), Exam Date, Application, Eligibility & Syllabus

Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test (CG TET) is the eligibility exam conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) to determine the eligibility of candidates as Classes 1 to 8 teachers. CG TET exam is not a recruitment exam, it is conducted to validate the eligibility of the candidates. The exam is held in two shifts for Paper 1 and Paper 2. CG TET Exam Highlights

The CG TET notification 2026 was released on November 13, 2025. The CG TET notification PDF has the details of the exam, including the application window date, application correction details, exam city, exam date, admit card release date, and other important dates. Candidates who qualify the CG TET 2025 exam become eligible to apply for recruitment as Primary or Upper Primary level teachers in the schools of Chhattisgarh. Qualifying candidates receive their CG TET eligibility certificate after the declaration of the result. The CG TET eligibility certificate is now valid for a lifetime as the NCTE has extended the validity of the TET certificate.

The CG TET Application 2025-26 is carried out online. The CG TET application window was from November 13 to December 8, 2025. The application correction window was from 9 to 11 December, 2025. Candidates can fill out the application form as shared here:

• Click on the ‘Online Applications’ tab.
• Click on the TET link.
• Click the ‘Online Application Form- TET’.
• Read the instructions carefully and choose the CG TET Paper you want to apply for.
• Upload the scanned photo and signature.
• Enter all the details asked in the application form.
• Select the exam centre city from the given options.
• Accept the declaration and submit.
• Pay the CG TET application fee.
• Submit and save the confirmation page.

CG TET Eligibility 2025: Educational Qualification for Paper 1 

• Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education.
• Class 12 with minimum 45 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education.
• Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd).
• Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education).
• Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education.
• Graduation with BEd (final year appearing or passed).

CG TET Eligibility 2025: Educational Qualification for Paper 2

• Graduation with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
• Graduation with a minimum of 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in one-year BEd.
• Graduation with at least 45 per cent marks and a one-year BEd.
• Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks with a four-year BElEd.
• Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks with a four-year BA/ BScEd/ BAEd/ BScEd.

The CG TET syllabus 2025-26 is prescribed by the CPEB. The syllabus contains the topics from all the sections of Paper 1 and Paper 2. The CG TET Paper 1 syllabus comprises topics from:

• Child Development and Pedagogy
• Language-I
• Language-II
• Mathematics
• Environmental Studies

On the other hand, the CG TET Paper 2 contains the topis from four sections:

• Child Development and Pedagogy
• Language-I
• Language-II
• Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Sciences

CG TET Exam Pattern 

The CG TET exam pattern 2026 differs for Paper 1 and 2. Have a look at the highlights of the exam pattern for both papers below.

The CG TET examination is approaching. Candidates should give this time for revision and last-minute preparations such as analysis of attempted mock tests and question papers. These last few days before the exam should be spent on the revision of important topics. It may be noted here that candidates should not undertake deep studies at this point in time. 

The CG TET admit card was released on January 23, 2026 by CG Vyapam. Candidates need to download the CG TET admit card as shared here:

• Enter the registration ID, date of birth and security code.
• Download the admit card.
