What is CG TET?
Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test (CG TET) is the eligibility exam conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) to determine the eligibility of candidates as Classes 1 to 8 teachers. CG TET exam is not a recruitment exam, it is conducted to validate the eligibility of the candidates. The exam is held in two shifts for Paper 1 and Paper 2. CG TET Notification 2026
The CG TET notification 2026 was released on November 13, 2025. The CG TET notification PDF has the details of the exam, including the application window date, application correction details, exam city, exam date, admit card release date, and other important dates. Candidates who qualify the CG TET 2025 exam become eligible to apply for recruitment as Primary or Upper Primary level teachers in the schools of Chhattisgarh. Qualifying candidates receive their CG TET eligibility certificate after the declaration of the result. The CG TET eligibility certificate is now valid for a lifetime as the NCTE has extended the validity of the TET certificate.

The CG TET Application 2025-26 is carried out online. The CG TET application window was from November 13 to December 8, 2025. The application correction window was from 9 to 11 December, 2025. Candidates can fill out the application form as shared here:

CG TET Eligibility 2025: Educational Qualification for Paper 1
- Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Class 12 with minimum 45 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd).
- Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Graduation with BEd (final year appearing or passed).

- Graduation with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
