Hostel life at Chandigarh University is the bestest one, you get to learn a lot, compromise a lot, you make new connections, study together, eat together and even have fun together, it's like your own new family. There are separate hostels for boys and girls with all modern facilities. The rooms are clean and have AC and non-AC options. Students can choose single, double, or multi-sharing rooms as per their needs. The hostel mess serves fresh and hygenic food and the food is prepared on a rotational menu and each day there are some different cuisines. There are also food courts, night canteens and tuck shops for snacks and other essentionals. Drinking water coolers are also clean and hygiene is well maintained. The hostel has Wi-Fi, common rooms with TV, music rooms also where I really used to enjoy a lot.

Studying architecture here is more of an experience than just a degree. The day-to-day learning includes design studios, workshopsm and experiments with materials. Students get chance to explore form and space with 3D models and digital tools. Faculty push towards hands-on practive wherer theory connects with real projects. We spend a lot of time in studios, working on projects where we build models or try out ideas using software and prototyping tools. Sometimes it feels like a design lab more than a classroom, which I really enjoy. The practical exposure through live projects and industry-linked assignments keeps things interesting and prepares us for real jobs. Theory is there to guide us, but the actual learning happens while working on projects. For me, this practical-heavy approach makes the course feel very relevant.
