BSc in Nursing is a 4 year UG-level course offered by the PGIMER Chandigarh. It is among the top most nursing courses in India. PGI Chandigarh has a seat intake of 140 seats for BSc courses Out of these 140 seats BSc in Nursing comprises of the biggest share with 93 seats.

According to the notice named ‘PGIMER, CHANDIGARH National Institute of Nursing Education selection of candidates in order of merit for BSc nursing 2023’, closing rank for unreserved category was 97.7319 and 84.1304 for reserved seats. The closing rank for PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) candidates was 46.6449.

PGIMER Chandigarh BSc counselling rounds generally begin around the month of July. The college holds personal counselling, which means that eligible candidates have to physically report at the institute. Four rounds of counselling are held, in which the fourth round is the’ Open’ or ‘Spot’ round.

Note: Candidates absent during the counselling process will not be considered for the admission.

PGIMER Chandigarh have laid out clear eligibility criteria for BSc in Nursing candidates. Along with the basic eligibility criteria (Only female candidate plus Class 12 with (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English), the candidates should note that the age should be between 17-25 years.

PGI Chandigarh offers eight different BSc courses. Fees for each of the course may vary and is around INR 1,000, as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is, however, subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

Four out of the eight PGI BSc courses comprises of a compulsory internship period in which the students are required to do an internship. To take admission in SD College Chandigarh, the percentage required varies depending on the course you are interested in. Generally, the admission is merit-based and the cut-off percentage can be quite high. For instance, in the past, the cut-off percentage for admission to certain courses reached up to 95.2%.

 However, for some courses, the minimum eligibility is 10+2 with at least 40% marks and must have passed at least 2 science subjects in the qualifying exam.
