Hi,
No, Construction Engineering Management and Construction Management are not exactly the same, although there is some overlap. Here's a table to break down the key differences:
| Feature | Construction Engineering Management | Construction Management |
|---|---|---|
| Primary focus | Applying engineering principles to construction projects | Overall planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects |
| Education | Often requires an engineering degree (usually civil engineering) with a specialisation in construction management | Can be entered with a bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field, or even relevant experience |
| Skills | Strong in both engineering and management skills, including structural analysis, cost estimation, scheduling, and risk management | Strong in leadership, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills |
| Typical roles | Project manager, construction engineer, estimator, scheduler | Field supervisor, superintendent, project manager |
I hope it clears your doubt !

The average tuition fee for Construction Engineering courses ranges from INR 2 lakh - 6 lakh. Other than the tuition fee, you need to to check for the additional charges like the hostel accomodation fee (if you're staying in the college hostel), application fee at the time of admission, semester exam fee, lab fee, etc.

Hi,
One of the major differences between Construction and Civil Engineering is that the latter is more involved in the planning, designing and implementing projects while Construction Engineering focuses more on the methods, procedures and aspects of construction. Moreover, Construction Engineering is offered as a specialisation in Civil Engineering courses. Let's explore the key differences:
| Feature | Construction Engineering | Civil Engineering |
|---|---|---|
| Focus | Building infrastructure | Designing infrastructure |
| Key Role | Implementing designs | Creating designs |
| Activities | Project management, budgeting, scheduling, on-site supervision | Structural analysis, material selection, geotechnical studies, environmental impact assessments |
| Education | Often focused on construction methods and procedures | Broader curriculum covering various engineering disciplines |
| Skills | Leadership, communication, problem-solving, technical knowledge | Strong analytical skills, creativity, ability to understand complex systems |
Hope this answer resolves your query !

The 10th or 12th marks above 50% or 45% are good enough for getting admission in SAGE University. However entrance exam is another hurdle in admission.
