Hi,
According to me, that depends on your interest. If you are interested in Mechanical and took admission in Information Technology, then that would be an absurd thing to do. I would suggest you to do what interest you and you are good at. But, as per placement wise go for Computer Science Sector or IT firm. Even associate software engineers are getting a good package. There is a good placement, but fewer people were placed in the campus interviews selection. The companies that are coming are L&T, Wipro, IBM. Some years back, Wipro and Infosys also came.
