You should read books of NCERT of class 6th, class 7th, class 8th, class 9th, and class 10th.
Read daily newspapers. Give you best in your exam. Observe all the things happening around you.

Hi,
It's an misconception every stream has its own value. Their is definitely nothing to degrade any stream. After B.A. I suggest you to choose Academy for IAS studies and this will help you get into the right line in the future. If your preparing for IAS start studying from today itself, that will help you complete syllabus at the earliest. My faculty members told if I start after B.A. I will need 18 hours a day to complete it, so preparing before hands will keep you ready for the exams. It's totally depend upon you if you like math physics, chemistry, go for B.Sc. Otherwise, you can move in B.A. It will help out to come over from Political Science sociology. All these subjects will help you as IPS Aspirants.

Hi,
I understand, you have a lot of passion to become an IAS officer, to make it clear as you know we require basic requirement to qualify for IAS exams is Under Graduation degree in any stream. After the course completion, you have to enroll yourself to any the nearest IAS coaching academy and they will direct you to register and enroll for IAS exams. I suggest you apart from this everyday start studying every day after coming back from college. My faculty members suggested me to study 18 hours a day. So I suggest you to start working towards IAS exams right today onwards and that will help you prepare well before you finally prepare

Hi Neha!
There are 2 papers in the IFS or CSE/ IAS 2018 Preliminary exam, namely
Paper 1 - General Knowledge and
Paper 2- General Studies
There are 100 questions in Paper 1, and 80 questions in the paper 2.

You can opt for any course in class 11th as UPSC does not specify any particular subjects. Even you can study any course in graduation also.
