Firstly, you have to do your graduation either from engineering or medical or any degree equivalent to Graduation and after completing your graduation you are eligible to appear in IAS Exam.

Either, you can go for MBBS degree in medical as your subject is Biology or you can go for Engineering or any degree equivalent to graduation after doing graduation you can apply for UPSC.

The relevant subjects for the exam are History, Geography, Sociology, Political Science, Economics, Environmental studies and Science & Technology. These subjects are included in General Studies paper. A future bureaucrat should have knowledge of subjects like Public Administration, Law, Political Science, etc.

Firstly, you have to complete your graduation either by BA or BSc or from any other course equivalent to graduation and while completing your Graduation join any coaching for UPSC and prepare well and then appear for exam.

Just try to go in college which is better than to do through distance as in distance education you didn't worry about study but when you go to college you are aware of syllabus and study well.
You can appear for UPSC after your graduation.

Yes, you can apply for IAS after your graduation or just in the final year also but I suggest you to do your graduation first and then prepare one or two year in coaching and then appear in exam as your chance is limited and exam is very tough.

BA Honours is better than simple BA as you have to for UPSC exams so you have to best in one subject so that you should go deep in that particular subject and then you are able to write in the prelims exams.

Hi Kartikey,
After class 12th, your approach should be to focus on the static areas such as history, geography, polity, environment and general Science. You need to clear your basics regarding these subjects as they form the 60-70% basis of prelims examination. The books you can initially refer are NCERTs of class 6th-10th for Science and environment, and for other mentioned subjects from class 6th-12th.
