CBI stands for the Central Bureau of Investigation. That is the central governing body that investigates the Scams related to all fields.
Eligibility:
The minimum eligibility to join CBI in the assistant grade is a Bachelors degree from a recognised university.
Age:
The minimum eligible age, to write combined graduate level examination, is 20 years wheras, the maximum age limit is 27 years with relaxation of upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.
Height:
Height: 165 cms
Chest: 76 cms. with expansion
Procedure to join:
To join the CBI department, you will need to appear for Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam, conducted by the Staff selection commission every year.
Examination structure:
The examination comprises of two papers.
1. General intelligence & awareness
2. Arithmatic
The preliminary exam is is followed by the Main exam.
The Main exam comprise of
English language,
Comprehension,
Communication skill and writing ability ,
Arithmetic and General studies.
To join in CBI officer You need to crack CGPE(Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam). This exam conducted by the SSC(Staff Selection Committe).
TO become an CBI Officer you have to pass Bachelor degree course in any stream from recognized university.
Your age should be in between 20 to 27 years. The upper age relaxation applicable this exam. 5 years age relaxation for sc/st candidates and 3 years for obc candidates.
GENDER:
Both male and female eligible to become am CBI officer but you should be citizen of india.
PHYSICAL STANDARDS:
Height- 165cms
Chest- unexpended- 77 cms
expanded- 82cms

Dear Anant, first of all I am happy that you have a clear picture of what you have to do. Secondly, now when you have decided about your ambition, it is advisable to first completely concentrate on your 12th board. This is your first lesson for a step towards bright future. The efforts that you put must be such that you should be able to excel in your 12th. However, simultaneously develop a habit of reading newspapers, magazines and watch news channels. Be aware about what is happening in the country as well as on international level. Try avoid reading material that is not relevant for you. You must always know, " What not to read". Prepare your general studies as it is the only subject which takes time to develop an understanding. Once you clear your 12th, than go for further preparation along with your graduation.
