Watch news daily (especially DD news)
Read national daily news papers.(cut n paSte important topics)
Magazines like Pratiyogita darpan and India today are good one to remain updated.
Focus on quality of study not quantity.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service. It is one of the most prestigious job in India. In order to become IAS, you will be required to appear for Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC. Any graduate from recognised universty can appear for Civil Services examination.

I would rate them as good because of some innovative systems for preparing the students for IAS. However you as a student should also be equally receptive to their methods and respond positively to draw the maximum mileage & benifits.

there are so many coaching which offers a long period coaching for IAS in Delhi. You should take admission in bachelor degree in any course and may join weekends classes.

UPSE conducts an annual exam for various posts like IAS/IPS/IRS etc jointly. This exam contain three phases
1. prelim for screening
for preparation of this portion you should read ncert books, yojna magzine, news papers etc
2. mains
it gives you to yous two optional subjects along with three compulsory subjects GS 1&2 and English
for this section you can choose civil engineering as an optional subjects so you can also appear in IES exam simultaneously.
Bipin Chandra's history a good book for other portion
you should go to the upse website, download the syllabus and previous questions to get an idea according to your understanding.
