Yes, the IAS main 2023 exam was started as per the schedule mentioned in the UPSC IAS main admit card released in the last week of August. The Union Public Service Commission is conducting the IAS Main Exam 2023 at the designated exam centres across the nation. The candidates were required to show their IAS admit card and one photo identity card at the time of entry to the examination centre. 

The IAS main (written) will conclude on September 23. The Commission is expected to release the IAS main (written) result in December 2023.

The candidates are suggested to downlaoad the IAS 2023 admit card for the main exam as early as possible to avoid any last minute rush. The candidates must check the details mentioned in the IAS admit card and inform the controller of examination in case of any spelling error in the personal details of the candidate. 

The Union Public Service Commission will conduct the IAS main exam from Seotember 15 to 23 at the designated exam centres across the nation.

Medicaps is alot better than LNCT, nice environment, but attendance is must and assignments, these two are kind of drawbacks and teachers are quite good (IT, CS, EC)

I would suggest you to prepare for PCS J (targetiing  2-3 states of same J exam pattern).

PCS J would be best as with least competition.

Along with the preperation you can practise or pursue LL.M.
