So first find your passion.

These days, marks scored in HSC are only to determine whether you are eligible or not. Every institution conducts its own exam to determine merit. Hence, you will have to look for advertisement and apply immediately.

It's very nice to know your dream of doing diploma in ME from a private college. But if I may ask, why private? There are very good govt colleges too. Anyway. Unfortunately, you have not mentioned your state. But these days almost all states have online process for admission and you have to follow it. Yes, you can take admission but the problem is that the result of NIOS will come very late. Till that time, admission in all the good colleges will be over.
