No worries, these exams are required only if you want to go to the top law colleges of India. Otherwise, check if your desired law course is available at your state university or any college nearby and apply there. Law can be pursued in following two ways:
If you've passed your intermediate (from any stream) - Opt for an integrated LLB course (5 years) eg. BA LLB (hon. ), BBA. LLB. (hon. ), B.Com. LL.B. (Hons. )
If you are already a graduate (from any stream) - Go for an LL.B. programme (3yrs).
Search for the best law colleges in your city/state and apply there. Most of them will conduct their entrance.

Dear aspirant, CLAT does not require a whole year of preparation, especially a drop year. This trend applies to IIT JEE, NEET or UPSC examinations (which may not be completely justified either). Majority of people who crack CLAT do so in less than 4 months of preparation. If you found it useful then upvote or thumbs up my answer. Good luck.

Dear student, first of all, don't take so much tension and don't worry if you fail to apply for CLAT, then you can also apply for DU LL.B. This is also a good university and similar to CLAT.
