CLAT does not share a fixed number of fill in the blanks questions. The UG exam is mostly passage-based. This skill is tested in a hidden way within English reading. It is tested directly in exams like AILET.

Practising word pairs and connector questions daily builds accuracy. Aspirants should read the full sentence for meaning before picking an answer. Checking common mistakes and practising cloze passages often also helps speed and confidence.

There is no single fixed book for this topic. Aspirants can use standard grammar and vocabulary books along with CLAT-specific guides. Past year reading passages and mock tests also help build accuracy over time.

Aspirants should start this practice early. It works well along with reading and vocabulary preparation. Start around 6 to 8 months before the exam. This gives enough time to learn word pairs, connectors and cloze questions through regular practice.

CLAT's current pattern does not test fill in the blanks on its own. But this skill still helps with the English reading section. Skipping this practice is not a good idea. AILET tests it directly. It also builds strong vocabulary and grammar skills.
