IBSAT and CMAT both exams are for management admission. Through these exams, one can get admission in good management institutes.CMAT is tougher than IBSAT.
IBSAT exam includes Reading Comprehension, Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation. CMAT includes Quantitative Techniques, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, etc.
So both the exams have similar content but only differ in difficulty level. Institutes like IBS Business School, ICFAI University, etc. also give admission through IBSAT and institutes like JBIMS-Mumbai, Goa Institute of Management-Goa, K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management, etc. also give admission through CMAT. So if we prepare for CMAT then it will be easy to score best in IBSAT.

CMAT and MAT, these both exams are among the important management exams. But CMAT is bit tougher than MAT. These exams are almost the same but difficulty level is somehow different.

There are many good institutes like NIT Warangal, Institute of Finance and International Management-Bangalore, etc. are also giving admission through MAT and institutes like JBIMS-Mumbai, Goa Institute of Management-Goa, K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management, etc. also give admission through CMAT.
So both the exams have similar contents, but CMAT is tougher than MAT.
So if one is preparing for CMAT then one can score well in MAT.

Common Management Admission Test is more commonly known as the CMAT. You can go a long way to top B-School, so scoring good marks is really important. Here are few general mistake to be done by student during preparation or in exam which can be minimized to score good marks:
1. It is not only necessary to learn and know all the concepts and tricks, but it is also essential to be confident and quick in using them. This means doing quick calculations in the quant section.
2. A big mistake is to focus only on one weakness. Since, general knowledge can also be forgotten easily and quickly, keep revising it. A good method can be to set a certain base level of mock questions in each category to do on each day.
3. One of the major problems is that most candidates do not recognize, that they are falling behind until it's too late. It is hard to compensate wisely in this situation, meaning, that takers are forced to take rapid and wild guesses. A simple tool to avoid this scenario is to set and stick to certain milestones.
4. Never forget to practice mock test papers. The good thing about mocks is, it helps you too face all types of questions, & makes you familiarized which the surrounding & also with the stress you have with time management.

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national-level computer-based management entrance test. The test is conducted by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
The CMAT is a three hour online test which is conducted in a single session to evaluate the candidate's ability across various segments like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness. Preparation can be three types: Self, Self plus coaching and Coaching.
It depends on whether you are working or a student. So, if you are working you have to prepare either by self-using the correspondence booklets or you can take option of taking weekend coaching classes or you can buy some famous books used for preparation of MBA entrance exams. But if you are a student then you have good amount of time to prepare so you can use the correspondence courses and books initially for self-preparation and later can join coaching classes for brushing up your preparation with added techniques. 2. Dedication- Be focused on the aim which you need to achieve.
3. Try to read Hindu newspaper editorial. Most of the passages which appear in CMAT are from Hindu editorial.
4. Try to maximum number of online mock test. You will definitely clear CMAT by doing the above.
5. Try to read as much as you can and make note of points.
6. Revision of each week topics is very important.
7. Mathematical ability questions will be little twisted try to do as faster as you can.
