I'm aiming for CMR's B.Tech, and admissions work like this: 70% of the seats are filled through rank-based TS EAMCET counseling—so good performance in PCM and EAMCET is key. The other 30% are management seats where you still need either an EAMCET rank or at least 50% in PCM—no freebies there. If you're a Diploma student, you've got the TS? ECET route into second year. So yep, it's a straightforward mix of entrance and merit.”

I'm staying in the girls' hostel at CMR, which costs INR 69 k per year. The rooms are non-AC, but they are furnished, and they come with full backup, including hot water, purified water, a steady power supply, and good security. Mess is extra, so our total comes to around INR 1 Lacs once you add food. I've heard boys pay INR 72 k for hostels off-campus in Kompally, plus mess. Overall, the hostel is decent and safe, but the total annual cost, including food, ends up closer to INR 1 lakh.

Most students here choose this college because of its good reputation in academics and placements. It's affiliated with JNTU Hyderabad and has NBA and NAAC 'A' grade accreditations, which adds a lot of value to the degree. What I've personally liked is how the college focuses on both theory and practical skills. We get training for placements from the very beginning, and companies like Infosys, Capgemini, and Cognizant regularly visit the campus. There are also a lot of workshops, hackathons, and student clubs th

As a student of CMR Engineering College, I can say that the college is famous for a reason. The infrastructure is top-notch with well-equipped labs, digital classrooms, and a Wi-Fi-enabled campus that makes learning easier. One of the best things here is the placement support — we get training from day one in coding, soft skills, and aptitude, and many students get placed in big companies like Infosys, Capgemini, and Cognizant. The faculty are experienced and supportive, and the college regularly organizes workshops, hackathons, and guest lectures by industry experts, which really help us stay updated. There are also a lot of active
