Most of the faculties are PhD's from universities abroad and provide excellent career guidance and are confident of what they teach. I cannot compare two universities without studying in both. So I can't say what VIT is like. This year 2015-2016, the highest paid job on campus was bagged by a CSE student. The package of the same being 20.3 lacs p.a. I suppose that answers your question.
