To join B.Teach in Chemical Engineering at Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore student have to write AEEE exam and should get rank moderate rank to join chemical but not the worst rank.Mostly studentswon'join chemical so the seats will be there to join.If students wants to join through JEEMainsthe students should have percentile of atleast 93 and 94 percentile.These ranks and percentile are enough to join as there is less completion to join chemical engineering in amrita.
To get good placements in chemical engineering field student should have atleast 7 CGPA above.The placements are above average for the chemical students in amrita university.Its students efforts in chemical engineering.If they want they can study PG also after UG for that course as there is more research side also in that.

Every year these is a technical fest called Anokha. Anokha fest will be of 3 days. It is technical fest where the students from outside the campus can also participate. The coding competitions and other technical competitions will be conducted and there will be the cash prize which is given for the winners in the coding competitions.Food stalls will be there for 3 days. Cultural events also happens for anokha. There will be special events for cultural programs known as Amritotsavam.There are groups known as Natyasudha for dance and Ragasudha for music.The performances will be done by them during amritotsavam.The festivals like Gokulashtami, onam, ugadhi will be celebrated. Gokulashtami will be celebrated for 3 days, whose 3 days there will be events and competitions among the students.Ugadhi is also celebrated for 2 to 3 days and cultural events like dance and music are performed for festivals. These are the events that will be happening in the Amrita College.

The mess food is not very much tasty. The students from Tamilnadu can adjust somewhat as the food items are not spicy and the items served are mostly Tamilnadu recipes. So Tamil Nadu students can eat sometimes. Everyday sambar is the routine dish which is served in the mess. The students from the other states should definitely adjust as the food and dishes mostly changes and less spicy food. The taste is bad. The food items in canteen are also taste same as the mess food.So food in the canteens are also adjustable.The menu of the food is very bad.Sometimes tiffins are served during dinner such as Idli, Dosa, Lemon price. Every Sunday biryani will be served. There is no Non-vegetarian food in the campus. Vegetarian food is served in the hostel mess and non veg is not allowed into the campus. During any occassions food taste average on that day. Overall review for the food is below average and students should adjust.

The semester GPA shall be computed by dividing the sum of the Grade Point Weight (GPW) of all the courses of the study be the maximum credit for the semester. The GPW are in turn calculated as the product of the grade points earned in the respective courses and the credit assigned to that course.

Generally, the CGPA is calculated in different ways in the college.The college faculty some times changes the grading system as their wish. They don't follow the same grading system every semester or year. Sometimes there may be relatively grading.Some times they may use absolute grading. They will fix the pass marks sometimes and start the grading from that mark in the subject. So there is no particular grading system followed in amrita college. 

CGPA is average of semester GPA's. 

If the student misses the internal exam there will missed exam for the students.There will internal exams called periodical 1 and periodical 2. If the students misses the periodicals then there will be missed periodical conducted for the students who are absent for the periodicals. The students should get permission from the subject faculty and class advisory and tell the reason for the absent in the exam.So missed periodical will be conducted if student misses internal exam. Missed labs and missed quizzes also will be conducted if they miss any lab exams and quizzes. The syllabus for the missed periodical will be more when compared to other periodicals syllabus. End semester syllabus will be there for missed periodical. If the faculty refuse to attend for periodical then you may be in trouble.

There is no pass or fail in internals in Amrita College. If the students get less marks in internals then they should work hard and get more marks in end semester exams.The internals and end semester weightage would be 50:50 for theory subjects. 60:40, 70:30 like wise. These ratio of internals for a particular subject will be different from each subject. The ratio of internals and end semester will be decided by the subject mentors. So if the students get less marks in internals they should get more marks in end semester. So there is no fail and pass for internal exams and there is no minimum marks needed to pass in internals and to write end semester exams. You have to get overall minimum marks to pass in subject.

The tris for the first year student year students are:

• First year students should score their 1st year end semester exams with very good CGPA such as 8 CGPA as next semester onwards subjects may be little difficult and hard to score more than 8 CGPA.
• As they are 1st year subjects students may be familiar with most of the 12th class subjects.
• They have to know about the projects for their future so that they can plan according to score good marks.
• They should interact with their seniors for their help in academics such as skill development and coding.
• They should start learning coding or should know basics of coding.
• They should participate in all the events actively.
• They should go beyong the syllabus content taught in the classroom and interact withfaculty membersmore to get project opportunities in upcoming semesters.
• Explore the campus thoroughly. Should keep the records of them clean without any bad remarks in their profile section.
• They should start planning to make good portfolio in the future. 

The college life will be good in Amrita college. Students have gyms, sports grounds and many other facilities in the college. Events will be conducted in the college frequently.

The environment in the campus will be very fresh and there will be greenery and students can walk peacefully. Good culture is also maintained in the campus. 

The placements are very good and guaranteed.The academics are very good in the campus.Placements with decent package is guaranteed for the students.

Faculties are also good in teaching and academic facilities are also good.

The strict action will be taken if student involves in any suspicious activity or ragging etc. Discipline should be maintained in the campus.

The dislikes are also should be considered. 

The transportation to the near by city is little difficult as campus is placed in outskirts of the city. 

The mess food should be adjusted by the students. Tamil Nadu students can survive but other state students can't like the food. 

There is no Non-vegetarian items served in the mess. It is pure vegetarian campus. Canteen also has limited food items. Canteen also does not have non veg items. 

Gate passes should be applied to warden and it is initiated to parents with message when students apply forGATEpass. 

Overall college life is balanced.The academics and environment is very good in the campus except food.
