The following are the procedures by which students can enrol with the St. Johns College of Engineering and Technology in Kurnool:

AP EAMCET Common Entrance Test: Common to the admission process for undergraduate courses like engineering and agriculture in Andhra Pradesh, this entrance test is mainly taken as a gateway to gain admission to programmes offered by SJCET through counselling held by the APSCHE.

Though various programs face direct admission where candidates' results in the qualifying examination - 10+2 holds the gateway to entry at SJCET, reserved seats are bound to be limited in number and will vary every year.

Management Quota: A few seats might be available through management quota. Generally, merit is the criterion for candidates through this quota with an additional amount.

St. Johns College of Engineering and Technology (SJCET, Kurnool) has also as good placement records, especially for students with Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering courses. The training and Placement Cell is the dedicated body of the college which takes training and conducting work shop, to prepare the students for placements.
