There is uncertainty regarding any branch. Maybe you can get bio engineering but if you belong to SC or ST category you might get some core branches as well.

You need to be a graduate in any discipline in order to be eligible for M.A. In mass communication from Tripura University. You will have to qualify an entrance exam called TUET to get admission in Tripura University. Your rank is too low to get NIT. You have to satisfy with any government college or private college in your state. Try to get government colleges for this you can wait for 2nd round of counselling, if you won't get in first round.

IIEST, Shibpur is better as it holds 17th rank in All India Engineering colleges by MHRD. From my personal experience NIT Andhra Pradesh is not a good opinion.
